Mornington Presbyterian Church
Kia ora, welcome and thank you for taking the time to find a little bit more about MPC, we are a Presbyterian Church
that is part of the Presbyterian Church Aotearoa New Zealand.
About Mornington Presbyterian Church
We are a community of people who share a common faith in Jesus Christ.
We enjoy an all-age style of worship, sharing together around scripture, good food and finding creative ways to connect to our community. Our worship service is 10am on a Sunday, and is open to everyone, and we’d love to welcome you along.
You can check out more of us at our Facebook page
The Thing
The Thing is an umbrella term for various gatherings that are happening around Dunedin.
The different gatherings happen outside the usual Sunday service Church model but are to create safe space to explore faith among other things.
We are –
- exploring new ways of being church together
- Exploring/deconstructing/renovating faith in ways safe to those who have been hurt by or left traditional styles of church
- Creating space safe for those who haven’t grown up in the Christian faith to ask questions etc
- Serving the community while being community
If you are interested in The Thing or just have questions,
I (Annie-Kate, ak@morningtonpres.org.nz) would love to chat with you.
Community connections
MPCC enjoys close connections with many community groups that use our facilities on a weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis. Many of our church family are involved with these groups and we are happy to support them by providing details about their activity and contact details.
You can find a listing of the Community Groups which meet at our premises here.
Venue Hire
The MPCC complex is a wonderful facility available for hire. It has two halls, two meeting rooms, a modern commercial kitchen and assembly foyer. The building is an ideal venue for small conferences, product promotions and staff training sessions.
The Church also has wireless internet, whiteboards and screens, a portable sound system, smart TV with Zoom capability and data projectors for hire. There is a car park with 14 parks at the rear of the building which includes disabled access to the building complex.
A brochure containing more information and hire charges can be obtained from the Church Office.
