Peter Cheyne – Minister
Peter has been in ordained ministry since late 1983. Before that he worked as an electrical engineer.
He has ministered at St Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Kaikoura, Calvin Community Church, Gore, was Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand for two years, and has been at Mornington since October 2012.
Peter works half-time, spending the other half promoting disciple-making. He is passionate about the Great Commission and the mission of the church. His website is www.followers.org.nz.
Peter is married to Chris and they have three grown daughters, Kirsten, Sarah and Kimberley, and five grandchildren.
Rachel Judge – Minister
Rachel leads our traditional service at Mornington and is responsible for pastoral care in our parish, since moving to Dunedin in early 2014.
Rachel is married to Alan, and they enjoy family life with their teenage son, Sam. In her leisure time Rachel enjoys walking, swimming and gardening, all things French, and coffees with friends.
Rachel has thoroughly enjoyed ministry experiences since her ordination in 1987.Her passions in ministry are pastoral care and preaching, and she has been blessed by enriching times in Presbyterian parishes in Whakatane, St. Columba’s, Taradale, in Napier, and in the Maniototo where she and Alan shared the ministry while living in Ranfurly for six years. Alan and Rachel also spent ten happy years working together in the Methodist-Presbyterian Co-operating Parish of St. David’s in Ashburton.
